1982 Whales 60c Humpback Whale with Solid Greenish Blue Background ACSC 930E(1) (SG 841a), postally used with small-part
'TOORO[NGA/VIC-3146]' cds, Cat $300 (£225). Much scarcer than mint. With a normal used stamp for comparison. All genuinely used examples were posted by a Melbourne dealer at Tooronga PO, with no idea that it was gifting trial stamps to his clients
(!). Another dealer subsequently purchased the unused balance, and realising what he had bought, did not post out any more examples.

1984 Sesquicentenary of Victoria 30c Honeyeater & Possum vertical setenant pair SG 959a block of 20 (5x4), a block of 4 with Parts
of the Black Printing Omitted and 98% of the Red Printing on the Upper Units Omitted because of an Eliptical Obstruction on the Printing Plate ACSC 1085cb, light discolouration of the affected area & some faint toning on the reverse, unmounted, Cat
$2000+ for two affected pairs. The ACSC states that the void was caused by "a residue of cleaning fluid on the plate". However, such residue would almost certainly not have resulted in the identical regular edges seen on the previous lot and on the
three blocks we have recorded. (Image1) (Image2)
