1867-80 QV Surface-Printed Large Uncoloured Corner Letters Spray of Rose Watermark 2/- chocolate- brown SG 121 wing-margin example
[ED], two overlapping strikes of 'NEWCASTLE-ON-TYNE' duplex still leave much of the design evident, Cat £3000. The finest example we have offered. Gibbons list only 'brown'. However, most examples are pale brown or yellow-brown and this is a
distinctly deeper and richer shade.
