The PCOF error occurred only on the first setting of the trial printings of the 1d & 3d in black. It would have also occurred on the first printing in black on the ½d but because these stamps are essentially identical to the issued ½d the trial
printing is not listed. A ½d with 'P.C.OF.' must be from the trial printings. (Image1)
