with Kangaroos Third Wmk 2d grey (edge faults), 1/- green (closed tear & rounded corner) and very fine well-centred 2/- brown tied by 'ABBOTSFORD/VIC' cds cancels, the label slightly trimmed at right not affecting the adhesives or markings. The 2/-
value is very scarce used on postal article (ACSC Cat $2000 on cover), and the label is a scarce survivor as most were discarded.

There is an issue about the foreign letter rate at this time. Richard Breckon stated that between 1.10.1920 & 30.9.1923 it was 4d for the first ½oz + 2d for each successive ½oz x7 = 1/6d. However, evidence from other covers indicates that between
1.10.1920 & 31.12.1921 the rate was actually 3d per ½oz x6 = 1/6d. More research required. See also Lot 1326. (Image1) (Image2)
