COLLINGWOOD: 1927 Premiership Team Photograph, with title 'COLLINGWOOD FOOTBALL CLUB, V.F.L. PREMIERS 1927' and players names on
mount, framed & glazed, overall 56x53cm, superb condition. [It is believed there are only three original team photographs with two larger montage photographs retained by the club. A very rare team photograph of the first of a record four premierships
in a row. Collingwood finished on top of the home and away games with 15 wins and only 3 losses and played second placed Richmond in the Grand Final. On the eve of the final, the heavens opened up and for a time the match faced the serious
possibility of being postponed. It rained solidly and torrentially for two days. The MCG was waterlogged and the wind was bitterly cold. In the lowest scoring Grand Final ever, Collingwood prevailed 2.13.(25) to 1.7.(13). It was the first of four
Premierships in a row, with legend surrounding the Collingwood “Mean Machine” from 1927-1930]. (Image1) (Image2)

(1946-1947) or Pat Twomey (1948-1949), framed & glazed, overall 67x103cm, some moth damage which may benefit from restoration. The guernsey has the characteristic thin vertical stripes which were produced in the mid 1940s. [Collingwood jumpers from
this period are exceedingly rare. The club records three pre-WWI jumpers and about six pre-WWII jumpers. In 25 years of collecting, this was the earliest jumper that the vendor was able to acquire]. (Image1) (Image2)
