1945 Japanese Occupation pale green/buff 'IMPERIAL JAPANESE TELEGRAPHS' flimsy telegram form to 'JAVACAMP' with message in English
via the Red Cross in Geneva with various Japanese cachets and hans of Fujikura and Suzuki, characteristic folds with reinforced split at centre-left. Late in the war, the Japanese allowed telegrams to be sent to POWs. However, significant delays were
still commonplace and very few such messages were delivered before Japan surrendered. Lindsay Chitty states this is the only such telegram recorded to Java. (Image1) (Image2)
