carried as far as Bangkok with '5'-in-circle censor cachet in violet on the face, but then 'RETOUR AFZENDER/POSTVERBINDING OPGEHEVEN' in magenta on the face and 'CHERIBON/ 26.6.40' return backstamp, light central fold clear of the stamps & a few tiny
blemishes. Mail service was suspended after the German invasion of the Netherlands on 10.5.1940; intercepted en route and returned.
