298ba tied by three slightly indistinct or smudged strikes of 'CANTERBURY/30MR57/NSW-AUST' cds cancels to a philatelic local cover, Cat $5000 on cover in footnote 3. The ACSC mentions only this one use on cover, and states that it "does not appear to
be philatelic", even though the domestic printed matter rate (the flap is unsealed) was only 3d and there is no reason for a 1/1d franking. Nevertheless, a remarkable item and the only recorded usage on cover. Ex David Adams. An unmounted pair sold
