a block of 10 (5x2) from the lower-left corner of the sheet, the three other units in the lower row of the left pane all with Flag on Tower ACSC 155d (SG 148ab), well-centred, a couple of very light gum bends, unmounted, Cat $875+ (£368+ for four
variety singles & six normal singles mounted). The variety was caused by foreign matter on the transfer roller, and affected five units on one sheet, all of which are present in the block. (Image1)

 1935 ANZAC 1/- black Perf 13½x12½ on Thinner Paper ACSC 165PP(1) marginal single from the right of the sheet, small closed tear
into one of the perfs at base, a couple of light aging marks on the perfs in the lower-left corner & in the margin, unmounted, Cat $2750 (£1600 for mounted; see the footnote below SG 155). Unissued: the issued stamp is Perf 11 on thick paper. Chris
Ceremuga Certificate (2002). The ACSC states that this is a "plate proof". Only one sheet of 120 was printed, but only part of that sheet survived. A still-attractive example of this scarce stamp: a very fine example sold at our auction of 22.9.2023
