Frame opposite Emu's Neck [Pos IV/46] ACSC 71(2)n (the additional Rust Flaw removed), a few minor bends & small aging marks in the margin, the latter also affecting four units mostly on the reverse, some minor perf reinforcing mostly in the margins
also affecting one of the Substituted Clichés, the other as well as the Thin 'G' & Pregnant 'Y' are unmounted as are most of the other units, Cat $10,000+ for the Substituted Clichés pair & varieties mounted and 53 mounted singles plus a substantial
premium as an exceptional positional piece comprising the four major varieties. The ACSC states (footnote 8) that "Mint blocks ... are rare ... at least seven mint blocks on smooth paper exist, comprising a pane of 60 ..." and goes on to state that
three of these blocks are in the Royal Collection. This and the previous Lot thus account for half of the blocks available to the market. We are not sure whether this is the pane referred to by the ACSC or a previously-unrecorded one. Ex Graeme
