The ACSC states (footnote 8) that "Mint blocks ... are rare ... at least seven mint blocks on smooth paper exist, comprising a pane of 60 ..." and goes on to state that three of these blocks are in the Royal Collection. This and the previous Lot thus account for half of the blocks available to the market. We are not sure whether this is the pane referred to by the ACSC or a previously-unrecorded one.
