(repaired) inscribed 'Henry J Fox/Sydney New South Wales/From/His affectionate Father/William Fox/Maldon 8th Sept 1853', plus additional letter "The last Man - The solitary survivor of the wreck of the Royal George is now living at St. Georges
Gloucester, his name is Abel Gibbs ... Admiral Hempenfelt and all on board were drowned except 70 men ...". Preparing to sail from Spithead to relieve the seige at Gibraltar in 1782, the ship suddenly rolled over and back, sinking upright to the

World War I Australian Flying Corps group of 13 photographs taken by an unidentified member of the Australian Flying Corps, most
with captions on reverse. Included are 'Baron Richthofen's Grave', and another titled 'The bus we fly RE8. These are the chaps that the Fritz in the other machine got. They are both dead & the bus flew & landed itself when out of petrol'. A rare
image of pilot James Sandy & observer Henry Hughes, together with a copy of a report of this incident.
