 1942-50 Definitives incorporating of War Tax KGVI 2½d scarlet horizontal pair the right-hand unit Completely Imperforate and the
left-hand unit Imperforate at Right ACSC 230ba (SG 206a), well-centred, unmounted, Cat $12,500+ for a mounted strip with one unit completely imperforate & another partly-imperforate (£6500 for an unmounted pair). See ACSC Footnote 4: unlike the
wholly-imperforate stamps that emanated from the Post Office Thefts, this "error is considered legitimate on the basis of a report that the upper half of a right pane was purchased at St. Kilda (Vic) PO in mid-1949 [which] showed the right column
imperforate". The first such pair we have offered. The Tillie Mitchell collection contained only a pair of partly-imperforate stamps with the wholly-imperforate ones largely trimmed off. (Image1) (Image2)
