La Rue Archives - not illustrated in Walton. Stated to have been retrieved from the ruins of the De La Rue factory that was badly damaged in a 1940 German air raid.

 1903-12 Wmk Star & Crescent 3m mauve & blue-green with Overprint Double SG O6a, the two impressions being almost coincident,
excellent centring, Cat £850. Ex Hebbert. The 'Besancon' used example sold for SFr305. John Gibson states only three examples have been recorded.

 1903-12 Wmk Star & Crescent Gun Barrel variety [Pos 120] in 1m corner block of 9 and in 3m block of 30 (6x5, also with Oval 'O'
[Pos 67], minor gum bends) both with Plate Number '2' at lower-right, and Beret on 'G' in Overprint on 1pi SG O8b in mint vertical pair (vertical bend) and on 5pi SG O10b in used block of 4. Very scarce & underrated especially in multiples. The
gun-barrel variety is a famous flaw that is unlisted by Gibbons despite appearing on several values. The Beret on 'G' is recorded only on the 3m 1pi & 5pi.
