 1939 Allens 'League Footballers', Printer's Proof comprising an uncut sheet with half of the set [24/48], mainly Fine/Very Fine.
Endorsed in the lower margin "Copper Plates by CH Taylor Pty Ltd Lt Lonsdale Street Melb, 1936. "PRINTER'S PROOF" taken by CH Taylor Pty Ltd of A'Beckett Street Melbourne in 1936. Black & white photographs were hand-coloured and after being
colour-seperated onto glass negatives were imaged onto copper plates and etched by a skilled artist with iron perchloride. "Progress Proofs' were printed and the plates corrected till this final print was OK'd by the customer. Sid Dineen of South
Melbourne was a line-etcher at CH Taylor. R Lister (signature) March 1994 An apprentice proofer in 1936".
