1313 PSE image1840 Penny Black 1d black SG 2 corner letters [SD] stated to be from Plate 1a, margins close to just touching in places, tied by two strikes of Maltese Cross cancel in red to Mulready 1d Letter Sheet to Pembroke with London cds of 'MY-7/1840' on back flap being the Second Day of Issue of both the Penny Black stamps and the Mulready stationery, small-part red wax seal renmants (hiding the Stereo number), minor edge wear/faults at the corners & light overall aging, SG Specialised Cat £15,000+ for use on a Mulready letter sheet plus a substantial premium for the early usage (a non-uprated Mulready lettersheet used on 7.5.1840 is priced at 4-times the normal used price). The rate was 1d per ½oz, the additional 1d paying for an item weighing over ½oz up to 1oz.
