1088 c imagePITCAIRN ISLANDS: 1941 (June 23) commercial cover from "Fred Christian" (signed on the reverse), at 1½d rate to HE Maude in Fiji with Suva arrival backstamp of 25SEP41 & "WPHC" added in blue pencil, minor blemishes. [Henry Evans Maude was a British administrator. In 1940, the Western Pacific High Commission sent him to Pitcairn to modernise the island government, open a post office, and organise the first stamps]

1098 PSE imageTONGA: 1912 commercial usage of George II 'TOGA' 1½d Letter Card with Nukualofa cds of 28OC12, to Sydney with machine arrival backstamp of 8NO - 1912. Very scarce. The message within states "The Parcel of Books & Handkerchiefs was found in one of the Cabins just a few moments before the Atua was sailing".
