AUSTRALIANA: c.1908 British Colonial Picture Combine scenes from 'The Story of the Kelly Gang' comprising '(2) Sticking Up
Younghusband's Station', '(4) The Gang Reading the Government Proclamation', '(5) Dan Kelly Cutting Telegraph Wires', '(7) Black Trackers at Work', '(8) The Police Surrounding the Glenrowan Hotel' and '(9) Pulling Up the Line to Wreck the Police
Train', some bumped corners otherwise fine to very fine unused. Rare: not previously seen by us. [Nos 2 & 4 are essentially the same as in the previous lot, which suggests they were issued to promote the 1908 release of the film in England. In 1910,
the film was re-issued, possibly with additional scenes, so these cards may be from that time. The matter is unsettled because only 17 minutes of the 60+ minutes of the original film have survived] (6)
