841 F image1882-95 Second Sidefaces Comb Perf 12½,13 1d vermilion New Plates as SG 179 or 187 but Rouletted about 6 with the rouletting clear of the design on all sides, neat 'GUNALDA/AU20/94/=QUE[ENSLAND]=' cds. Unlisted in Gibbons and not mentioned by Ken Scudder. Offered 'as is'. [The stamp is certainly large enough that, if it had been perforated, there would almost certainly be evidence of perforations. It may have come from imperforate stock SG 187a but, again, there is no record of the imperf stamps having been used at Gunalda]

The doubling is most evident along the back of the Queen's head with a clear second impression 1mm to the right. Ex Gary Diffen. This variety was known to collectors in the 1920s, and there is an example in the Sir William Dixon Collection donated to the New South Wales State Library. Gibbons list the ½d green Printed Double as SG 208a, Cat £2000, but do not list the deep green shade with this variety. RPSV Certificate (2005) as SG 208a.
