462 c imageEASTHER, MAX: 1953-65 group of illustrated envelopes produced by Max Easther from 1953 Farmers 3½d to 1965 Monash 5d including two versions of the 1957 Christmas 3½d & 4d in blue and in red on smaller-format cover, 1958 QANTAS 2/- and 1959 Flowers 3/- Waratah both airmail to Canada with 'JH Harrison' h/s on reverse, etc, some of those sent overseas with minor blemishes/edge faults. The ACS at p157 states that Easther "produced approximately 70 to 75 cachets ... possibly as few as 50 of each of his covers."; this group represents over a quarter of his total 'face-different' output.
