18393 432/433 image1925 218 images: TWO VOLUME 1925 WEMBLEY Unique Philatelic & Social History Collection. I'm not going to say too much about this collection because, I think the 218 images should tell the story. Although I cannot recall seeing anything that specifically reveals the originator … to my mind this collection was painstakingly put together, card by card, by a British War Veteran, possibly disabled. The clues are there, and perhaps more to be deduced … The addresses vary, just how was the collection put together. Then there's the strong patriotic messages, copious articles/clippings/images on the reverse of the cards … Generally fine to very fine. As you know the 1925 is the much better/scarcer Wembley Series, and these are popular amongst the 'Exhibitions' collecting fraternity … I think I worked it out at something like £11.50 a card at the full GBP£3,750= starting price … but I may be wrong.
