Little is known about this stamp, although it seems to have been used on tax free property conveyances, possibly those involving the government.

ONE OF FOUR KNOWN EXAMPLES OF THE 1910 $5 REVENUE ISSUE WITH DENOMINATION INVERTED. A GREAT HAWAIIAN RARITY.

The $5 center inverted revenue issue of Hawaii has only 4 known examples - the Advertiser pair and two singles that where tied on piece. This example was originally tied on that piece with other example and was soaked off the piece. This is the second time an inverted center single is being offered to the public.

On 8 coastwise licenses all dated 1947, Custom Fee issues include 50p (2), 20p (4), 10p (3), 2p (12), and 1p (4), a pair of 10p with serial numbers 189 & 190 were probably used on the first day of sales (March 26, 1947), all with additional documentary issues (30), Very Fine, a scarce group.
