W. Casper Esq., Nashville, Tennessee, soldier's endorsement "Private W. Bell Co D 10th Regt Miss Vols", includes original enclosure; some edge creasing/tears, Fine and scarce revalued use.

Walt Bell is apparently the private in question. Often amusing long two-page literate soldier's letter headed "Camp Phillips near Warrington, Fla January 15th 1862" mostly re camp life with relief from boredom "by the exchange of a few cannon balls and bomb shells from our neighbors across the Bay but so soon as our friendly exchanges of shot (no one ever gets hurt - at least on our side) ceases, camp life becomes dull again".
