2887       Printed Matter Rates, 1845-72. Approximately 128-page annotated exhibit, covers are mostly one to a page but many are separated from the pages (a check confirmed that all are present), study of printed matter rates beginning in 1845 and ending in 1872, majority are stampless with many stamped covers as well bearing 1¢ 1851-57 Issues, 2¢ Black Jacks and 1869 Pictorials, wide range of rate indications with manuscript, handstamped, integral and auxiliary markings, also a fascinating array of printed matter inside with everything from legislative documents to advertising designs, pamphlets, prices current, etc., some illustrated content as well, condition is mixed with the stamped covers generally franked with Very Good-Fine stamps with small flaws, overall a fascinating exhibit.
