This series was issued in June of 1919 and is the result of 170 subject coil sheets which had been perforated 10 vertically, but were remainders or and oversupply. The sheets were taken and perforated 11 horizontally on a flat plate perforator and issued in sheets of 170 subjects. Many sheets were defective as far as coil production was concerned but could be saved as sheet stamps.
