Tied by two-line "Steam Ship" handstamp on cover to Wilmington, O., manuscript "Due 10" alongside; cover reduced at left, Very Fine, from the well-known Rombach correspondence, originating in California, postage for a steamship letter traveling from Chagres or Panama City to New York, via Havana, was 20 cents as the distance was determined to be in excess of 2,500 miles, with 2011 P.F. certificate.
