Scott No. 294, 295 pair  Estimate $200 - 300. Sometime on or after 8 June 1901, someone (probably an employee of the expo postal station) cleaned the canceling device with a solvent which warped the rubber, causing deformation in the dial circle. The 7 killer bars are still visible. This example is an anomaly, as the latest recorded use of the deformed postmark with bars (B01-02B) is July 18th. (Image1)

Jun 2 1905", with "Exposition Sta." slogan, ties 1903, 1¢ green on multicolor post card showing night scene on the trail, addressed to Centralia, Wash.; light corner creasing, Very Fine, One only only two recorded examples of this machine cancellation. Bomar No. P05-03  $600. This is an International machine cancellation with the words EXPOSITION STA. in the center of 7 horizontal lines. According to David Savadge, he suggest based on cancel characteristics that this was a hand powered machine. The only date seen is June 2nd 1905. Apparently this cancel was initially used in the first week of the expo, then was replaced by the International electric machine with P05-02. (Image1)
