1418   image1926 CAM 2 "Test" Flight, St. Louis to Chicago. Airmail cover with typewritten endorsement and franked with 1926, 10¢ Airmail, with signature "C.A. Lindbergh, Pilot" and "Wm. H. Conkling, Postmaster", Extremely Fine, a rare Charles Lindbergh signed cover and one of the first covers to have been flown by Lindbergh. Estimate  $750 - 1,000. Five days before the inaugural date, Lindbergh and Philip R. Love flew CAM 2 in two DH-4's. Raymond V. Bahr, a friend of Lindbergh's, prepared a small number of souvenir covers which where carried by Lindbergh from Springfield, Ill. to Chicago. The covers have no postal markings. Although unofficial, they are the first covers to have flown by Lindbergh. (Image1)

Byrd on one of the first cover to flown across the North Pole, AAMC $1,500 without signature premium. AAMC No. 1039. Estimate  $1,000 - 1,500. Commander Richard E. Byrd, accompanied by Floyd Bennett where the first to fly over the North Pole. They took off from Kings Bay, flew to the North Pole and returned in 14 hours. The Republic of Panama had anticipated dispatching mail on the return flight (pilot Lindbergh), however this was precluded by the contract between PAA and the U.S. Post Office.
