22   image[San Francisco] Post card from Fort Humboldt, Eureka, California. Written aboard the S.S. Roanoke on April 12, 1906, entered mails at San Francisco April 16th without postage and sent to the Dead Letter Office with double circle postmark of April 17th, earthquake occurred on the April 18th and couldn't be cleared by P.O. for two weeks, mailed again on May 6, 1906 and received in Pasadena May 7th, Very Fine, an amazing survivor of the fire after the earthquake, the only Dead Letter Office earthquake related cover the owner has seen.
