Clear to mostly large margins, tied by blue "Tacna, Peru, 22 Enero, 71" cds on folded letter to Castillon, France, in combination with G.B. 1867, 3d rose, two singles tied by "C35" barred oval handstamp of Panama, red "Insufficiently Prepaid" handstamp below, boxed "G.B., 1f60c" handstamp crossed out and replaced with "G.B., 1f90c" handstamp, "19" decimes due handstamp, reverse with Callao and French transit date stamps, Very Fine, with 2011 Eichele certificate.

AN ATTRACTIVE PERU AND GREAT BRITAIN MIXED FRANKING USAGE TO FRANCE.

The Peru 1d paid for the internal rate within Peru, while the G.B. 6d franking paid the rate to the British Post Office in Panama only. Subsequently, the letter was treated wholly unpaid and charge 1.90fr on arrival.
