Hill and with his 1869 double-oval datestamp front and back, "Due 1" in circle indicating the bisect was not accepted, barely reduced at right into the normal stamp, bisect with minor wrinkles, file fold at left far from stamps, Very Fine appearance, despite the illegality of the practice of using 2¢ Black Jack bisects to make up the 3¢ rate, few have handstamped markings indicating rejection, ex-Drews.
