Canceled canceled by socked-on-the-nose strikes of straight line Hermosillo handstamps (Schatzkes 541) on 1861 folded letter sheet to Guadalajara; horizontal file fold affecting top pair, otherwise Very Fine, a rare multiple usage, with only 576 issued (NF $1,200 for off cover singles), with 2007 M.E.P.S.I. certificate.

Any cover with ½r stamps is scarce because the only rate that stamp paid was for circulars and printed matter so districts received very limited quantities.

In combination with 1861, 4r black on yellow, diagonal bisect, Saltillo on 1861 folded letter sheet to San Luis Potosi, tied together by Saltillo oval date stamp (Schatzkes 1355) with erroneous 1855 date (present in several genuine items from this district), Very Fine, 4r with only 980 issued, while 6 bisects are recorded in the Bash-Schimmer census from this district, this is the one of two recorded with a combination of stamps and splits, signed J.K. Bash, with 1995 M.E.P.S.I. certificate.
