Many hundreds mint and used on pages and cards. sparse at the beginning but with a very interesting showing of the Banknote issues, a reasonable selection of 1898 provisional overprints to the $! some officials and few postal stationery items, very heavy duplication and some items in mixed condition, very substantial catalogue value, careful examination a must but should prove rewarding.

2822 /o      Hawaii, Strong Collection. On album pages and black stock pages. Starts with nice group of classics and Numerals, including 6, 8, 9-11, 11 stock book, 12, 15-16, 20-28, all unused except 21 and 28, and all with certificates, one from the P.F. (#20), one from PSE (#23), and the rest from Hawaii Philatelic Society. One of these, #12 (CV $15,000) has major faults and is just a space filler. Many of the certs mention typical thins and repairs; others mention either only hinge remnants or no faults. The used #21 has a bad cancel. Two other classic items, an unused pair of #10-1 Oa, and a #19, don't have certs, but were bought in HPS auctions. The collection is complete from #30-#82 (except for the two rarities, 61 Band 66C). Some Back-of-the-book items including.) 01-6, R1-8, 11-16, and UX2-9, US, and UE1, plus Sc, 6c, and 18c singles, and 6c and 18c pairs of Kahului Railroad stamps. Plus, hundreds of mostly unused duplicates with better values to #69 (CV $350) etc. Also 20 unused blocks of 4 or larger of several stamps. Most are F-VF appearing; condition is mixed and careful
inspection is recommended. Interesting group for either reseller or as foundation for an excellent collection of this popular area.

Small lot of seven covers with various different usages, included is 1853 stampless cover with red "Honolulu US Postage Paid" cds to Maine, an 1898 cover franked with 2¢ definitive on "Hawaiian Government Service / Bureau of Public Works" imprint, a US 1861 5¢ tied on cover by red "Honolulu US Postage Paid" cds to Maine, 1861 Cover franked with 1857 12¢ black with red Honolulu cds and black San Francisco cds, 1895 Registered cover to England franked with 5¢ & 10¢ definitive, a second cover with similar franking address to Massachusetts, etc. mixed condition w some faults, worth inspection.

2828       Philippines, Postal Stationery Collection, 1889-1960. Eighty eight items in all with a very nice mix of issues, included are some Spanish Philippines and Independence issues, a very wide range of usages in combination with some adhesives, an especially nice group of Spanish Philippines postal cards, including 1889, 2c brown used (2) 1200 were printed, 1894, 2c brown with short line variation along with a normal, used, 1896 2c ultramarine (2) both mailed on the first day of issue and the only two known and much more, a very nice lot with many better items.
