With Airmail 1928, 3s on 60c Provisional Surcharge + Airmail Registration 1928, 1s on 20c Provisional Surcharge (C5, CF1) on registered airmail cover to Barranquilla, in combination with 1928, 20c bistre brown (273), all tied by purple "Guayaquil, SCADTA, 28 Ago, 1928" cds's, registry etiquette handstamp and receiving postmark on front, Very Fine.

AN EXTREMELY RARE FIRST DAY OF ISSUE COVER EXAMPLE OF THE 1929 50C ON 10C "CTS." PROVISIONAL SURCHARGE ERROR ON A FLIGHT COVER.

This cover was sent by F.E. Parraga on this flight bearing the rare "50 Cts. 50" error airmail from the sheet of 100 sold to him by the SCADTA Agency in Guayaquil. Of the 80 covers sent, many are reported to have been destroyed due to the ravages of the tropics.
