1227     5d imageMexico, Durango, 1856, 8r red lilac, quadrisect. Upper right portion of stamp with part of district overprint. Tied by straight line Papasquiraro handstamp (Schatzkes 280) on 1858 folded letter to Durango, Very Fine, a very scarce quadrisect usage from Durango.

This quadrisect appears much smaller than most, but the correct rate from Papasquiraro to Durango was 2 reales (43 leagues distance), assuring that this is not an octosect usage.
