reverse with block of four of German 12pf essay, wove paper (80x105mm); vertical file fold, otherwise Very Fine, a very rare sample essay, accompanied by photocopy RPSL certificate for similar sheetlet. Estimate; $200 - 300.
Dr.
Eckerlin was director of Herbst & Illig of Frankfort-am-Main, Germany. In 1928, Dr. Eckerlin contacted Treadway of ABN for purposes of promoting a proprietary rotary intaglio printing process that was faster and cheaper than steel engraving
