Housed on pages in large "album"; starting with partial reconstruction of the first 1871 four plates with additional on covers plated, scarce 1872 violet issues present, the 1290 plates including large multiples and a few covers, and nice showing of later issues in similar fashion; a nice holding for the specialist.

3660       Africa, Airmail Postal History. Small but exciting grouping of about 100 middle range priced airmail covers from Africa. Mostly all are commercial uses from before World War Two with a few flights, censors and unusual items. Most are British and French colonies with some others along for the ride. Generally very fine. All are sleeved and priced with approximately $3,300 retail value.
