3575       United States Cut Square Collection, 1853-1992. A remarkable mint collection housed on Scott album with exceptional completion throughout; starting with 1853-55 Nesbitts lacking only four types and including #U3, U6 & U15, 1860 Star Dies including compounds and 6¢ & 10¢ cuts present, 1861 with high values including variety, 1863 2¢ Lincoln missing only the rarities, 1864 issue complete, 1870 issues virtually complete, 1874 issues with completion in high values, 1880's with some sparse areas but many high values present, later with good 1920's surcharges, airmails near complete, good showing of officials, etc.; condition a little varied with overall condition a bit above the norm, owner's cat. in excess of $72,000, inspection highly recommended, please see our website for images.
