THIS IS THE FINEST KNOWN EXAMPLE OF THIS ELUSIVE 1873 90¢ CONTINENTAL BANK NOTE COMPANY ISSUE.

The high value Bank Note issues were typically heavily cancelled to deter any potential reuse, making it challenging to find a pristine example. Often, collectors must compromise on certain criteria, such as centering, color, or the presence of a heavy cancellation. However, the stamp being offered here possesses exceptionally wide and well balanced margins, vibrant color, and a light town cancellation, rendering it a genuine rarity in this gem condition.
