A GEM EXAMPLE FOR WHICH THE NUMERIC GRADE DOES NOT DO JUSTICE.

The 1861 90¢ value was typically used on foreign mail, and it was customary to cancel outbound foreign mail with distinctive large cork cancels. A superbly centered 90¢ 1861 with a neat "Paid" cancel such as this is rarely encountered.
