AN EXCEPTIONALLY SUPERB USED EXAMPLE OF THE 1851 12¢ IMPERFORATE ISSUE WHICH IS ONE OF THE FINEST KNOWN.

It is interesting to note that a slight double transfer of the rosettes shows in the top sheet margin. This is only the second example of this transfer variety we ever encountered and may only occur in early impressions.

ONE OF THE FINEST KNOWN PAIRS OF THE 12¢ 1851 ISSUE OF EXCEPTIONAL BEAUTY.

Vertical pairs of the 12¢ 1851 stamp are far less common compared to horizontal pairs. This particular pair is exceptional, featuring a vivid sharp impression, large margins and vibrant cancels, making it a highly desirable gem.
