Complete sheet of 100, no gum, sheet shows all the perforation errors: 62 stamps are perf 6x6 (#205), 18 stamps do not have the ledger lines (#193), 20 stamps have mixed perfs 6x12 (#210); some creasing at lower left affecting 8 stamp with some freak perfs in corner, otherwise Very Fine, only this sheet is known of this stamps, great rarity of the Numerals issue, ex-J. Bard.

766     196 var. imageMexico, 1887, Numeral on blue lined paper, 2c brown carmine, perf 12, strip of five and block of 19, blue Colima Provisional overprints. On cover from Colima to Copenhagen, Denmark, ledger lines issue was in place temporarily as regular paper stock run out, few are known on cover and this one contains the largest multiple known; one stamp missing from the reverse, cover opened at sides for display with some edge nicks, F.-V.F., the Colima postmaster used a private surcharge to reduce the value of these rare stamps to 1c, he sold the stamps at a premium, although these were not legal, some covers exist genuinely circulated in the mails, this cover is unique (Sc $1,140 as singles without the surcharge), ex-Jay Bard.
