Centuries.
Collection of hundreds in three volumes, mostly unused singles and sets, Crete, including Austrian, Italian, Russian. After French Issues, Epirus including local Chimarra Issues, Argyokastro Issues, Koritsa, Occupation Issues, Ionian Islands under Italian Occupation all of the rare pairs with a Scott value alone of over $12,000. The Collector identified issues by Scott number and value however the prices are outdated, and Scott is often substantially higher today. Also various locals, National Resistance Issues, Russian Levant with various overprints for Greek Islands, Turkey, with overprints of Sultan's visit in Salonika, Monastir, Pristine, Uskub, also Thrace, some duplication. Several thousand mainly mint singles and sets including many stamp issuing entities for the period related to Italy and containing items from hundreds of dollars each to over $1,000. in Scott all housed in five Scott albums with hingeless pages and each page has Scott description and older catalogue value for easy reference. A massive collection that could be broken down into multiple Country, Colony and Zone units with several hundred key sets & singles throughout. Italy has Kingdom and Republic issues as well as back of the book, Air Post, Parcel Post and Trieste Zone A with many better items in duplicate as is also prevalent in other areas. Extensive and valuable Aegean Islands are present along with an advanced collection of Fiume, also noteworthy are Eritrea, Somalia, Cyrenaica, and Italian East Africa. If possible view this collection to fully appreciate its size, depth and scope as it certainly ranks in the top tier of Italian related collections that we have offered.
