3184       Portugal & Colonies, Large Postal History Cover & Card Accumulation, 1890-1970's. Over 1500 covers housed in three boxes with material from the 1890's to the 1970's with a few later. About half of the lot is Portugal and the rest is mostly Mozambique, Angola and other Colonies. Both the Portugal and Colonies include some early postal stationery cards, Registered, multiples, Airmails, Censored and a large handful of postcards with Mouchon and Cérès frankings. A large part of the Portuguese Colonies is made up of modestly duplicated cacheted First Day Covers and First Flights from the 1950-1970 period. Some of these are faulty. Much of the Portugal is addressed to Lourenço Marques and the majority of the non-philatelic Mozambique and Angola covers are addressed to Denmark and have multiple stamps, many of Topical interest. Also, an assortment of incoming mail to Mozambique. Generally Fine to Very Fine with some early cover fronts, an occasional off quality item as is typical for most accumulations. Worth a look.

3192 //o      Russia, High Quality Comprehensive Mint Collection, 1858-1991. Several thousand primarily mint singles, sets and souvenir sheets all neatly housed in seven lighthouse hingeless albums accompanied by some stamps on auction lot sheets or retail sales cards. The early 19th century is mixed with mint and used, the solid mint section starts about 1889 through 1991. We note that the albums contain a number of non-Scott listed perforation varieties and more. The vertically laid paper issue of 1902-1906 Scott 55-71 is present mostly n.h. In fact when you take a closer examination of this collection you will find almost all of the difficult sets and singles of the 20th century are here. The collector also acquired never hinged sets and singles whenever possible. There is some hinged material amongst the favored n.h. The value adds up quickly in the material catalogued from $100. per set to over $1,000. The overall quality is excellent with very few faults. Rather than list all of the highlights here please check the scans or view in person as the better sets from the 1920's and up are here with many key souvenir sheets as well. The albums are all well filled with the Soviet Union period mostly complete except for rarities. Certainly, this is one of the finest collections of Russia that we have had the pleasure to offer. The break-up value will be exceptional due to the high quality and plethora of n.h. sets. Don't miss this opportunity., ex-Windsor.
