placed in niches of walls, built the slope of circles. Peculiar trees, smoothe bark, with many large clusters of sweet yellow flowers, without leaves, grow between 1st & second walls. A Chapel in the center. I saw where 204 soldiers had been intered.
Some had good and large marble slabs. A red tile with the number scratched on them marked the resting place of many…" and signed "From a Somerville Boy in the Orient, George H. Bodge, Hospital Crops", Very Fine.
