Mail Bid/Internet/Live Internet Auction - January 8, 2022

Sterling Stamps announces their first auction of the year on Saturday, January 8th, 2021 at 10am EST (Note new earlier time!). This auction offers many nice singles, sets, covers, specialty items, and collections and accumulations. We are still offering low start bids and a competitive buyer’s premium (15%) and never overcharge for shipping!

Here are some of the highlights:

  • Nice selection of individual US stamps highlighted by a unused Scott 78b, 88, and 97 blocks of 4. Also you will find a complete plating of Scott 9 (right and left sides), Scott 85E used, 86 unused, and Scott 142 used with split grill, Ex-Clyde Jennings, unpriced in Scott, and possibly unique. There are a few dollar value Columbians, a beautiful Scott 315 MLH VF pair, Kansas City Roulettes MNH multiples, Scott 832b MNH block of 16, as well as a couple sets of Scott C13-C15. There is also another nice selection of Essays, Proofs, and Specimens in this auction like Scott 3P4 and 4P4, 73P1a, and 213P4-218P4 in blocks of 4.
  • Check out the cover selection, which is highlighted by several Steam Navigation covers, and a couple better Prexie single use covers.
  • A nice selection of country, area, and topical covers and postcard lots, Canada cancel selections, better Barbados, Cayman Islands, and France, not to mention a selection from the Burris collection featuring better Russia singles, sets, Offices, and Zemstvo locals.
  • Our usual lots, collections, literature, and supplies are always worth reviewing also.
