Mail Bid/Internet/Live Internet Auction - September 25, 2021

Sterling Stamps announces their fourth auction of the year on Saturday, September 25th, 2021 at 10am EST (Note new earlier time!), with pre-auction bidding ending on the Friday evening before at 9pm (EST). This auction offers many nice singles, sets, covers, specialty items, and collections and accumulations. We are still offering low start bids and a competitive buyer’s premium (15%) and never overcharge for shipping!

Here are some of the highlights:

  • Nice selection of individual US stamps highlighted by a Scott 113b unused with two certificates. Also you will find used Scott 1 and 2 and several other certified stamps like Scott 64b mint block of 4, 69 used block of 6, several 1869 pictorials along with some of their re-issues like Scott 127 and 128. There are several dollar value Columbians, Kansas City Roulettes, Scott 467 and 505 in blocks of 12 (with certificates), 832b MNH strip of 8, as well as a couple sets of Scott C13-C15, and a good showing of several Scott C18 plate blocks, blocks, and singles. There is also a nice selection of Essays, Proofs, and Specimens highlighted by Scott 3P4, 4P4, 40P3-47P3, 63P4-78P4, and 112P3-129P3.
  • Check out the cover selection, which is highlighted by a Capt Ethan Allen Hitchcock signed letter (1828 Michigan Territory) once owned by Floyd Risvold.
  • A nice selection of China stamps and covers, and better Germany and Italy singles and sets.
  • The foreign collections are once again highlighted by the balance of the two generation Nilsestuen collection.
