Lot 3019 - 1904 KEVII £25 green & carmine, wmk Mult Crown CA. Superb MLH with original gum (darker as always for examples of this stamp), nice perfs, deep colors & perfect centering. Sc 18A, SG 19 cat £75,000. This is the rarest high denomination stamp of all the 20th century keyplate issues of the British Emprire with only less than 10 mint examples recorded (Importantly no "cheap" examples of the £25 are available in any form, no opt or perf specimen either, apart from single example ex....Estimate AU$100,000 Sold for AU$ 87,000

Auction 383 has 3,403 lots, catering for all types of collectors & dealers - from bulk accumulations and intact collections to desirable single items. This auction offers a huge range of material, with special emphasis on lotting stamps to cater for collectors with varying types of interests and budgets.Items range from $30 to $100,000 so there's something for everybody.

This auction offers strong representation of Australia & Colonies, strong British Empire material of all areas & periods, as well as General Foreign including small and large collections. There are almost 250 lots of Australian Collections (Lots 53 -288) and almost 400 lots of World collections (Lots 289-671).

Following on there is almost 1000 lots of Australia which consist of singles, sets and covers including Australian colonies (Lots 697-1633). The Australian lots cover all periods, from the Kangaroo issues up to Decimal and contains numerous number of mint & used £1 & £2 top values. This auction includes a C of A Watermark £2 £2 Black & rose, left gutter marginal. VF fresh MUH, with pristine never hinged original gum & beautiful deep colours. SG 16 cat £6500 for M, while 1st wmk should be at least triple £19,500 MUH. ACSC 55 cat $35,000. Great rarity in genuine MUH condition.(Lot 742).

There are over 1,700 lots of World stamps, covers and single country collections (Lots 1634 -3403). Numerous other rarities in the British Empire, USA, European, The Americas and Asia including PRC China.
