Only 200 printed of which 18 faulty examples were destroyed, 95 used on letters, 86 sold in aid of Marine Disasters Fund & 11 presented to dignitaries. Worldwide Public Auction - April 20, 2023

Auction 380 has 3,258 lots, catering for all types of collectors & dealers - from bulk accumulations and intact collections to desirable single items. This auction offers strong representation of Australia & Colonies, strong British Empire material of all areas & periods, as well as General Foreign including small and large collections. There are over 250 lots of Australian Collections(Lots 43 -291) and almost 400 lots of World collections (Lots 292-672). Following on there is almost 900 lots of Australia which consist of singles, sets and covers including Australian colonies (Lots 715-1592). The Australian lots cover all periods, from the Kangaroo issues up to Decimal and contains numerous number of mint & used £1 & £2 top values. This auction includes a C of A Watermark £2 Black & rose, varieties 'colour spot on map north of Bight' & 'white spot below S of POSTAGE' (position R4). VF fresh top marginal, stamp MUH, pristine never hinged original gum.
