167 SG 2, 6, F1, F2 image1911 Registered cover to Sweden with its original letter in French, written & signed by the Postmaster, Mr. A. Deschamps, who was appointed as Condominium Postmaster in 1910. This cover has an unusual mixed usage of English & French language stamps, 1d red (SG 2), 2½d dull purple & blue/blue (SG 6), 5c green (SG F1) & 10c carmine (SG F2), all cancelled with a Port Vila postmark dated "7 AUG '11". The 2½d (25c) paid the non-colonial rate & the 2½d (25c) paid the registration fee. The reverse shows a transit mark for "SYDNEY" dated "AU 24 '11" and an arrival mark for LINKOPING" dated "30 9 '11". The letter appears to have interesting information about the non-availability of certain stamp issues. Scarce correspondence from the postmaster.

The card is used together with 5c green (SG F11), 10c carmine (SG F12) & 20c greyish-slate (SG F13) all tied to front & cancelled with Port Vila postmark dated "7 AUG '11". The 35c rate included the 10c postcard rate plue the 25c registration fee. Post card shows "Land entrance to Maewa Cone". Scarce correspondence from the postmaster.
