111 SG M9,M9A,M9B image1942 KGVI MEF 3d violet. A superb u/m never hinged block of thirty from the rare Nairobi overprinting. This piece comes from complete horizontal rows 1-5. The second and third rows are the square stops overprinting (Gibbons Type M2) and the first, fourth & fifth rows are the rounds stops overprinting (Gibbons Type M2a) giving twelve se-tenant vertical pairs (Gibbons SG M9b). Brandon certificate (1999) and Sismondo Certificate (2006). A very rare exhibition piece and to our knowledge the second largest known multiple of this issue this piece being a complete half sheet. SG M9,M9a,M9b cat £7980++.
